Essentials of Islam is a one-year course covering the necessary aspects of the religion, open to brothers and sisters aged 16 and over. Over the year students study Fiqh (Islamic law), Aqeedah (Islamic belief) and Tasawwuf (Islamic spirituality).

Classes run every Tuesday evening, 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM, at Jamia Masjid Bilal in Leicester, starting Tuesday 10th November 2026. The course fee is £60 per term, over three terms.
